I still find myself smelling my baby. I think i am obsessed with my baby. She is changing everyday with her little surprises and warm cheeky smile that never fails to brighten up any gloomy day of mine! I want to keep an e-diary of possibly her every growth and spurts so that I can always look back to savor the sweet memories.

Hailey's Stokke trip trapp high chair is finally here!! Yay!! =) It is so popular that we had to pre-order! Anyway, test-driven by Hailey earlier ..she is super lovin it! Appetite is fantatsic! Sit is comfy! Mommy is the best!! Haha! Well, this high chair was a rather high 'investment'considering the price tag but I see it more of its' value than cost. It is my desire to discipline all my cutie pie/s to sit properly at meal times...I get really frustrated when I see kids making a fuss at mealtime! Hope I won't have to go through that! Anyway, kudos to Stokke for their cool design!

Once upon a time...

11th March 2009 my baby girl came into our lives into our hands...she was supposed to be delivered on the 15th March 2009 but I think she is anxious to see the world sooner! The labour went smoothly...in short, my contractions started at 5pm at Marina Square while I was walking around with my hubby...Erick...well at least I was taking the Doctor's advice to walk around a bit more to make labour easier...the contractions escalated and by 9.30pm, my contractions 'wave' was every 8-9 mins gap...thats the cue! The baby is coming! =) I had my dinner, bathed and cleaned up before going to the hospital at 11 pm...after admissions was done, I remember being greeted by very warm & friendly nurses at the labour ward, they helped me to settle down (I was a little terrified to see the labour ward...saw the 'phua chu kang' boots, the giant lights above the bed and the few machines meant to be wired to me I pressumed.) While I was changing into my hospital gown, I felt a gush of liquid trickling down my calves...yikes...it was a bloody...I nearly faint! I hate the sight of blood! =( The nurses calmly helped me to lie down...checked 'down under'...mumbled a few words to each other...looked at me and smiled...'your waterbag burst my dear...' I asked back like an idiot...despite having read up on all the labour information...'you mean, I am going to give birth now?! ' Ha! I told you...silly question...Soon enough, they plugged me here & there...I asked them for my epidural shot (In fact I gave specific instructions to give me my epidural the moment I am ready for labour...not taking any chance...yes...I was afraid of labour...what? No guts no glory? Forget it...I just want to have my baby out of me as painless as possible.) The rest are history...I slept through the night, after the epidural shot...felt numbed as expected...the next morning at 8.34am...the nurses told me the cervix has dilated to 8cm...so pretty good...the doctor is on her way...at 9.55am...baby Hailey was born. Ahh...=) Bliss...Well...the whole labour experience was not as scary as I remembered watching on TV...Dr. Lee I wuen & the nurses were great! They were so calming...so relax....so smiley...I didn't think I was giving birth had I not seen both my legs in position! After Baby Hailey was out, I remember I puked! Ha! Didn't see it coming...Erick was busy filming the whole process...I was surprised. He mentioned he was afraid of blood...want to stay out of sight...but look who was busy filming the whole process! He even had the guts to cut the umbilical cord! Now...that should be the beginning of his fatherly experience. Well...I will try to keep the post coming...hoping one day...Baby Hailey will be able to read this blog mommy has made for her...I love my new found mommyhood...Cheers to all mommies out there!
